La Marzocco has been shaping coffee culture for nearly a century, and their machines are as beautiful as they are functional. We’ve been building their home website since 2014. This is our second major redesign: a ground-up rethink of how the site looks, works, and sells.
When your product looks this good, the website needs to get out of the way and let it shine. But it also needs to do real work. The site had to serve three purposes: a shop that makes buying a $3,000+ espresso machine feel right, an educational resource for home baristas at every level, and a launch platform for new machines like the Linea Micra.
We’re focused on the experience around the machines themselves. Clean layouts, big photography, and enough breathing room to let La Marzocco’s Italian design heritage speak for itself.
La Marzocco offers a range of custom finishes and options for their home machines. We built a configurator that lets you choose your body color, knobs, legs, and rails, and see the result update in real time. It’s one of the most popular features on the site, and it turns browsing into something genuinely fun.
The configurator became the digital equivalent of La Marzocco’s handcrafted approach: an experience where users could witness their dream machine taking shape before their eyes, each selection a brushstroke on a canvas of possibilities.
