If you’re in Napa Valley and you want the best dental care, you are going to visit Dr. Mary Cooke. She and her team use state-of-the-art treatments and go the extra mile to make the clients’ experiences remarkable, more akin to a spa. We wanted their website to reflect their unique, best-of-class work. It helped that they came to us with excellent photography, outstanding ideas, and a notable passion for their work.

For the design, we tried several approaches, with a goal of something that represented elegance with a modern look. By giving the body of the website a slight shadow, and then adding small ribbons that appear to wrap around the page for the headers, we helped the content to sit on top of a beautiful background photograph of Napa Valley. And using progressive browser enhancement, we made sure that even though older browsers might not see all of the visual goodies, they won’t miss what’s important.

Technologically, our work on Cooke Orthodontics is the best we’ve done yet. We used the Typekit service and the Museo family of fonts to help the site to stand out, going beyond the handful of fonts available on most computers. We used WordPress for content management, adding extra features to make complicated forms simple, help search engine optimization, and to ensure that the visuals will always look great. And we tested the website extensively, every step of the way, so that there will be no surprises down the road.
