After calling <strong>Comcast<\/strong>, I figured out that things were working fine on their end, and the cable box seemed to be in order. That\u2019s a first.<\/p>\n<p>Turns out our years-old D-Link \u201cGamer Lounge\u201d router (don\u2019t ask) was finally flaking out. So I had to run down to <a href=\"http:\/\/macforce.com\/\">MacForce<\/a> and get us a brand new <a href=\"http:\/\/apple.com\/airportextreme\/\">Airport Extreme<\/a>. It sure looks pretty, and has lots of features that we may take advantage of someday.<\/p>\n<p>Thing is, even though I\u2019m not even using its wireless today, just the LAN networking, it\u2019s <strong>fast<\/strong>! Almost every web page seems to come up twice as fast, literally, as it did this morning. Everything seems faster. It\u2019s remarkable, because I didn\u2019t really think that was possible.
