{"id":1723,"date":"2007-07-31T10:41:00","date_gmt":"2007-07-31T18:41:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost\/one-percent-for-theplanet"},"modified":"2017-01-20T13:40:29","modified_gmt":"2017-01-20T21:40:29","slug":"one-percent-for-theplanet","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/needmoredesigns.com\/one-percent-for-theplanet\/","title":{"rendered":"One Percent for the Planet"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve recently joined <a href=\"http:\/\/onepercentfortheplanet.org\/\">One Percent for the Planet<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/onepercentfortheplanet.org\/za\/en_us?PAGE=OURMEMBERS&amp;CAT=OURMEMBERS\">group of businesses<\/a> that donate 1% of their slaes to environmental organizations worldwide. In the past, we\u2019ve given to local and national organizations here and there. Most of these donations were spurred by one-time occurances, such as Katrina. One Percent for the Planet is somthing altogether new and different for Needmore \u2013 it is a way for us to not only raise awareness, but also to make a commitment to ourselves and the environment that is directly tied to the work that we do.<\/p>\n<p>The list of <a href=\"http:\/\/onepercentfortheplanet.org\/za\/en_us?PAGE=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;CAT=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;BGCOLOR=DEFAULT\">supported environmental groups<\/a> is astounding and constantly growing; everything from <a href=\"http:\/\/onepercentfortheplanet.org\/za\/en_us?PAGE=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;CAT=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;BGCOLOR=DEFAULT\">Global warming<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/onepercentfortheplanet.org\/za\/en_us?PAGE=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;CAT=ENVIROSEARCH&amp;BGCOLOR=DEFAULT\">Portland<\/a> organizations such as <a href=\"http:\/\/ecotrust.org\">Ecotrust<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/owhf.org\">Oregon Wildlife Heritage Foundation<\/a> are represented.
