We’re often asked how to get websites ranked well in Google and thought about it enough to write a support article about Google ranking. However, Seth Godin brings up a good point today. Start thinking about ways to populate yourself in search tools other than the densely populated Google.
- Make a Technorati Profile and blog, blog, blog.
- Post your pictures on Flickr.
- Seth even mentions YouTube, which we’ve dabled with, but not necessarily successfully pointed to Needmore.
There’s also Digg. And I often wondered about the effect of someone writing a Wikepedia article on your business (ex. 37Signals). What about Squidoo? Seth Godin has his own lens.
Thoughts on these? Any others?
