Gaga for GUI

One of my absolute favorite things in the world is graphical user interfaces. I have loved them since they were invented. I was more of a fan of the interface of videogames than the games themselves.

That is why the GUIdebook is one of my favorite sites of all time. If you have only used Windows or a Mac, it’s interesting to see so many variations and different ideas that didn’t quite make it. One of my favorite feature is pixel ratio adjustment of images – for example, the Apple Lisa interface did not use square pixels. All Lisa screenshots on the site give the option of showing the images using square pixels or the original dimensions. Which is actually pretty neat.
