Not so long ago, we wrote up a support article for clients that use our Basecamp project area. We posted the link on the Basecamp forum for other designers to use as a reference and boy have the referrals been pouring in. We’ve also noticed direct copies. A couple notes to those that are copying our text verbatim:

Well, I suppose copying our design philosophy word for word is sort of in line with an open, collaborative process, but gosh – we didn’t even know we were working together!
We have a project area because we are committed to an open, collaborative (democratic, if you will) design process. This project area is a place for us to brainstorm and create your website.
