Portland’s Newspace Center for Photography, an educational non-profit, embodies the dual goals of informing the public about photography and offering a space for photographers to learn and show their work. This has long been our go-to place for photography and we were over the moon when they approached us about redesigning their website.
We focused on conveying a modern gallery presence by preserving a monochromatic color palette, focusing ample breathing room and white space, adding subtle background elements, and ultimately, letting the remarkable photography and creative presence shine. The project became a personal quest to come up with a design that would bring more of a museum and higher-educational feel to the site while also focusing on striking photography. Stop by, browse Newspace’s gallery, sign up for a class or two, and you will surely find yourself equally as inspired as we have been.
