We create intuitive, updateable websites with clean lines, one by one. Although each of our websites is its own project, we have a simple process most of our projects follow.
Discovery
Planning and discovery starts when we begin talking to you about your project. We turn our laser-like focus and our most creative minds to developing a deep understanding of the project and competitive landscape. Once we begin working together in earnest, we’ll collaborate with you to gather (or create) website content, develop a detailed site map (a taxonomy of website pages), and begin sketching out pages in wireframes.
This is the time to take stock and to dream big.
Design
Once we have a strong understanding of the site’s goals, content, and structure, we begin designing. Our projects typically go through a couple rounds of mock-ups. Together, we’ll dream, think, talk, plan, tinker, and design until we have a concept that has a pulse and a life of its own. As Frank Lloyd Wright noted, “You can use an eraser on the drafting table or a sledge hammer on the construction site.”
Production
After the direction is solidified, we’ll move into a production phase. During this phase, we move from graphical mockups to an actual HTML version of your website. Throughout production, we’ll post iterations of the website on our testing server so that you can follow along with the work. We’ll also spend time optimizing your site to make sure it shows up quickly in browsers and also is accessible by search engines.
Ongoing
We don’t believe in launching a website and then disappearing. Once a website is out in the world, the fun begins. We’ll work with you to engage your website with social media channels and follow your analytics closely in order to guide your web presence.
