Children’s Community School
Children’s Community School is dedicated to teaching children to think for themselves, collaborate successfully with others, and take responsibility for their own education. We like what they do.
Children’s Community School (CCS) is a progressive not for profit school providing “education for democracy” to a socio-economically diverse community. They have an innovative teaching approach and a strong student-driven study philosophy.
CCS approached Needmore with a vibrant identity, engaging photography, and passionate copywriting already in place. What they lacked was a website that acted living embodiment of CCS. Our role was to create a clean, modern website to compliment the existing material.
We used ExpressionEngine for the backend, which means CCS is able to add, remove, or rearrange pages and update photography throughout. The website is search-engine friendly and integrates a number of other services, including Google Calendar for community events, and Wufoo for application forms.
Children’s Arts Institute
Additionally, Needmore created a sister website for CCS’s summer program, Children’s Arts Institute. This website is deliberately similar to the Children’s Community School, with which they’re affiliated, and works very similar, which makes it easy for the Institute to keep both of their website up to date.
