TEDxPortland

We’ve spent many an hour watching TED talks online and have come away inspired, touched, and even angry at times. (Aaron Huey’s talk, in particular, continues to haunt us with its stark beauty and humanity.)

And so, we’re thrilled that we just picked up our tickets for TEDxPortland in April. (We hear the $50 tickets are selling like hotcakes.) The theme couldn’t be more topical and the coffee promises to flow throughout the day.

Our theme this year is “crossroads.” A crossroads is a place where two things impact one another in a way that creates change. It’s where technology impacts behavior, where beliefs create ideas or where different branches of social science come together to create a whole new philosophy or field. The possibilities are endless, and the end results more powerful than we can imagine.

In preparation, we’ll be sifting through our favorite TED talks over the next few weeks and posting them.
