Night Owls

We just finished putting up Amy Ruppel’s Night Owl wall decals (find them at blik). Stop in to the studio to see the rest of the arrangement…

Darwin

Some of us are working harder than others today.

Winter is Looking Good

We’re digging this winter necklace by Amy Tavern. We’ve been watching Amy’s work change over the last couple years during her stay as Resident Artist at Penland and can only imagine what she’ll come up with in this, her last year of residency. Go for it, Amy!

Light

Root beer and ice cream. Caramel and sea salt. Shrimp and white wine. All make us super happy. What other dazzling duo could possibly be out there? How’s about taking a look at what Amy Ruppel and Schoolhouse Electric Co. have come up with. We’ll be ogling at this gorgeous collaboration this Thursday night. Predictably, we’ll be there right at 6 with our budding artist, Zoë in tow. Hope to see you there!

First Friday is Going to Rock

First Friday is in full swing at Milepost5 tonight, starting at 6 pm. Check out the open studios, music, and gallery openings. The campus is sure to be swinging.

And, an added bonus is that Montavilla’s Stark Street strip is a short walk/ride away. Starting at 5, there is so much going on—popcorn balls at Country Cat, wine tasting at Immortal Pie & Larder, Shicky Gnarowitz at Bipartisam (7pm).

We’ll be stopping by both. Hope to see you there!

MileGhost 5

We’re digging this Autumn in Portland. The rain, the colors, the pumpkin patch. And we’re especially into all the Halloween excitement here with MileGhost5! Along with bunch of creative folks here, we’ll be handing out candy here on Halloween (we’ll be in our studio from 5 pm until 8 – or until our pumpkin fairy princess plain pumpkins). The event is free, all are welcome, and there will be free hot cider and cookies provided by EAT.

Hope to see you here.

Art

waxingandwaning:

If you’re in Seattle this Saturday, August 21st, come on by Velocity Art & Design for my opening from 6-9pm! I’ll have a wall full of paintings, a tiny town of cedar houses, the new Washington State print, and the new moth strings of paper and wax. I will be there to say hello! BLIK will be sponsoring, and we’ll be giving away some of my wall decals! See you there!

Amy is a friend of Needmore, and her art is drop-dead beautiful. Several pieces adorn our HQ. If you’re in Seattle, we recommend you check out the show.

Rooftop

We had a great time this past weekend on the rooftop of our building. Several of our neighbors hosted a supper club. Hopefully, they will host more.
