Our Spring Newsletter has hit the stands.
J&R Group owns and operates a number of properties in the Portland area. They came to us to create a website with a youthful and visually interesting approach.
Summer is swiftly approaching and, as a tease of warm days ahead, we worked with Salt & Straw to get their new and improved shop up. You heard us right: you can order their ice cream right from your little ol’ computer. How do they ship ice cream, you ask? Swiftly. (And with much love.)
Congrats also to Kim and Tyler also for making Portland proud as one of Oprah’s favorite ice creams in this month’s O Magazine’s Best Ice Cream Roundup.
This hasn’t happened in quite a while – our dear friend Amy Ruppel is having an art sale!
People of Earth, say hello to Dan Manchester. He’s a web developer, and the newest member of our team, making our studio 50% more talented. Dan also shares our passion for making great websites that solve problems for real people, and we’re thrilled to have him.
If you’d like to congratulate him, send your salutations to @elseloop on Twitter, or read more about him on our Team page.
Congratulations Dan, and welcome to Needmore!
Friends, as fall descends on Portland, Needmore is heading to San Francisco for a couple days. We couldn’t be more excited to stop in to one of our favorite cities and breathe in the ocean air.
We’ll be back in the studio on Monday. Have a lovely weekend…

Our friends at Savoir Flair are killing it with their New York fashion week coverage, by way of Dubai. (Check out the Alexander Wang collection. Mind blowing.)
We just had this gorgeous hand-printed poster arrive in the studio. It was created by the lovely folks at Sea Urchin Studio. What fabulous inspiration as we begin a fun week of design…
Our dear friend Amy Ruppel has been creating lovely hand-made objects and posting a new one each week on Ruppelshelf. Personally, I love the excitement of wondering what she will post next. I’m also fascinated by the creative routine of a project like this – pushing oneself to create something new each week, in a shop, with your hands.
Last night, we stopped in to see Country Portraits, the new exhibition of paper collage portraits from folk artist Marian Rose Lucas. The show is up all month at Stumptown and definitely worth a trip downtown to peek! Also notable was Grass Hut’s X squared and the Blazer mania show at Compound, with a great piece by Ryan Bubnis and a wall of incredible inked portraits.
If you still have your art walking shoes on after last night, there is an open studio event here at Milepost5.
