The whole crew spent an incredible Saturday at TEDxPortland. (If you follow us on Twitter, you might have followed along as we live Tweeted.) We were blown away by Kate Bingaman-Burt’s energy, sobered by Ben Huh’s call to thought on immigration, and inspired by Tom Brokaw’s challenge,”I think we have a common obligation to ask, what is our next big idea?”
We’re thrilled to share with you our latest website redesign. Löyly is a breathtaking Scandinavian-inspired sauna in Southeast Portland. When proprietor Jessica Kelso approached us to redesign the website for her boutique, we couldn’t have been more excited. (We’ve known Jessica for years and have always admired her style.) Löyly is a beautiful space and it’s clear from the care that went into its design that she is very passionate about what she’s doing there. We wanted to bring that relaxing vibe and passion to her website.

Superawesome duo Kate Endle (longtime and über talented Needmore client) and Caspar Babypants are descending on Portland this Saturday. Happy 3 year anniversary to the fun, talented team at Savoir Flair. The magazine has grown quite a bit since we launched the site back in 2009. Savoir Flair is not only the Middle East’s first online fashion magazine, but has become the de facto source for fashion not only in the Middle East, but worldwide as well. (We remember fondly how excited we were about Haleh reaching 75 Facebook fans before launch – they’re at over 80,000 now.)
We bid farewell this week to our amazing design intern, Elizabeth. Elizabeth has played a key role in our (not yet launched) redesign for Heceta Head Lighthouse, which we are looking forward to sharing with you all soon. Elizabeth is about to become a Mrs. and traipse through Europe for the summer. We’ll be keeping tabs on her blog, Twitter, and Pinterest.
Adieu, Elizabeth. Your preppy grandpa style and stunning attention to detail will definitely be missed here in the studio!
